TCL Go Flip 2 4058G 8GB Factory Unlocked 4G LTE GSM Smart Flip Phone

The TCL Go Flip 2 4058G is an excellent flip phone that works great on Verizon's network (via US Mobile's "Warp" service). It supports the critical (for Verizon) 4G LTE Band 13, in addition to bands B2/4/5/12/66/71/25/26/41. Currently a great value, but may soon become scarce with the introduction of the Flip 3, which unfortunately has a more complicated interface - and apparently software issues per the reviews.The Flip 2 UI is uncluttered and responsive, its easy to increase the font size for better visibility, has long battery life (~14 hrs talk or ~18 days standby) and USB-C power input. We wanted a simple way to call and text without needing reading glasses, and were not interested in apps or browsing with this phone. If you prioritize ease of use and battery life over features like apps or camera quality, the Flip 2 is a better choice than the Flip 3 and half the cost!Purchased from eKings.

Using this phone with a T-Mobile prepaid sim card in the US. Bought it for a senior and this is very easy to setup and use. The text is adjustable to a large sized font. Easy to navigate for simple actions like speed dial, check recent missed calls, etc. Also got this at a great price of $55!

The positive thing is that it does work on T-Mobile and sends and receives phone calls. However, all other features are 25 year old technology. Entering text on a phone keypad is a pain. The browser is horrible. I couldn't set up either my yahoo or gmail accounts. The screen resolution for videos is terrible. But I did pair with Bluetooth on my smartphone and imported my contacts.Bottom line is that it's OK for making voice calls, but useless for everything else, but what did I expect for $29.Update. Although I get a message to enable WiFi calling, the phone doesn't have an option to enable it, so I assume it's not supported. Because of this I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 1 star.

This a very good flip phone... Good call quality, and if internet is needed the somewhat limited browser works well... The messaging system is the best that I've used for a basic phone, and group messages (finally!) work quite well... However, don't expect an app store... The native phone apps which cover all the basics, are it... The big downside for me was that even though seller description says factory unlocked, I believe this is a carrier unlocked phone.... At my house, I need Wi-Fi calling, and I kept getting an error from "trackfone" that prompted me to set up Wi-Fi calling, which in turn adviced service was not available...i had same issue previously with an at&t unlocked phone... I use a prepaid svc that uses t-mobile, but it doesn't fall under the trackfone umbrella of carriers.... So I returned for that reason. Other than that, phone works flawlessly for a feature phone, so if you are able to get wifi calling working, or you don't need that, this works very good as a basic call and occasional text service.

Bought the new phone versus the refurbished one, so can’t comment on those. So far, it has been great for what I got it for: basic texting and talking. I am not techy and couldn’t get any of my emails to work. Slightly disappointed it doesn’t have an FM radio, but I hardly used mine on my old phones,so not a big deal.This phone is super lightweight and fits in a women’s shallow jean pocket great. The sound quality is decent and have had no dropped or static sounding calls. Texting is a breeze if you are familiar with the T9 keypad. The key pad types easily and you don’t have to press really hard. I hope this phone lasts a long time. I like it much better than the recent flip phones I have had: Consumer Cellular Link II, Consumer Cellular Iris Flip, Consumer Cellular Easy Flip, HMD Barbie Flip, the last being the most disappointing call, battery, and connection wise.I would highly recommend this phone and the seller ekings if looking for a simple phone without bells and whistles.

The details say it is compatible with all carriers; it is not. I just tried to activate it with Verizon, and they are unable to activate it on their network. If you are looking for a phone like this that is compatible with Verizon's network, this isn't your phone!

I saw some of the reviews on here complain that this phone doesn’t have features that some would expect from a smart phone, yet that’s exactly why this product was perfect. My father is a dinosaur and still uses a flip phone. He needed a new phone. This does the same thing as his last one, except it’s even more streamlined than before. It does require the smaller version of the SIM card, which should just require you pushing it out of the bigger plastic that makes it. Transferring contacts didn’t work well from the SIM card. That’s the only downside from my experience. Had to use an microSD card and import them. This could be troublesome for those who aren’t tech savvy. Wifi calling is a bonus. Worked with Verizon. If there’s any issues in the future, I’ll be sure to update this review. Happy with this purchase!

Lost my 2024 TCL Flip. Just got my new Flip 2. Made in China stocked in California. Took 2 weeks TO ARRIVE since it can't be shipped on a commercial jet (HAZMAT) INSTRUCTIONS SUCK, NO PICTURES AND NOT ALL BUTTONS ARE IDENTIFIED. IT MAY BE IMPROVED VERSION BUT NEW THINGS I CANNOT YET FIGURE OUT.PATIENCE NEEDED
