These cords are hard to find. I have several old La Cie external hard drives, and want access to the many photos and videos stored on those drives. My new laptops and ipads, however, offer usb-c ports only. This cord was the solution. And I like that it came with an adapter so you can use it with usb-c and a basic regular usb (the old-school rectangle one). Cord seems well made and the price was right.

Works fantastic! I have one of these newer computers that require this special plug but my hard drives do not. I ordered this and really like how much thicker this cable is compared to others. It's not much but it is noticeable. Speed seems to be as good or slightly faster too. Definitely recommend.

bought as a spare. it works fine. I should have bought one that was longer though I think. LOL

Purchased white to use on my Mac laptop and just purchased Toshiba drive. The plug that came with the Toshiba didn’t fit my Mac, this does. Have used it a handful of times.

I've had a external hard drive that I've had issues using with the old USB end. The USB-C made it work again lol maybe it was just a bad cord but the product works!
